There is a side of spiritual and mental health that we don’t talk about because it’s "scary." We call them panic attacks, but sometimes they are something deeper, a physical symptom of a spiritual or psychotic break, a moment where the weight of the world makes you feel like you are losing your grip on your own body.

Fifteen years ago, I stood at that abyss. I didn’t have a mental disorder; I had a "snap." It started as the most intense panic attack I have ever experienced. I felt a darkness so heavy I wanted to take myself out. I didn’t think I could survive the minute, let alone the hour.
