Maybe They Love You-Just Not the Way You Measure Love
So yesterday we talked about why some women are walking away from love, and I touched on the different components of love intimacy, passion, and commitment.
The reality is, not every man is going to bring all three in the same way.
Some may offer commitment, but passion or intimacy is lacking. Some may bring plenty of passion, but struggle with intimacy and commitment. And some may give you emotional intimacy you can talk to them, connect with them, and feel understood but the passion or commitment may not be there.
Then we have attraction.
Men and women both notice physical appearance when choosing someone, but as women, sometimes we go a little further. We notice his overall physicality, his hands, his feet, his smile, the way he carries himself. Sometimes it’s those little things that stick in our minds the most.
Then there’s the inner appeal. Maybe he’s intellectual. Maybe he’s nurturing. Maybe he’s a man who can fix things. Maybe he makes you laugh, makes you feel safe, or you simply enjoy talking to him.
Where I think we sometimes get ourselves in trouble is looking for one man who has all of it every physical quality, every personality trait, plus intimacy, passion, and commitment exactly the way we want them.
My advice is simple: figure out what matters most to you.
You may not get every single thing on your list, but you should know the things you truly need, the things you can compromise on, and the things you simply cannot live without.
Sometimes finding love isn’t about finding the person who checks every box. It’s about knowing which boxes actually matter.
